Favaucana

Overview Favaucanas are a designer hybrid breed that combines the best traits of the Faverolles and Ameraucana. This crossbreed is prized for its beautiful appearance, gentle nature, and pastel-colored eggs.

Appearance Favaucanas often have a fluffy beard and muffs from their Ameraucana heritage, along with the soft feathering and salmon coloration from the Faverolles side. They are medium-sized birds with feathered legs and a rounded body.

Egg Production These birds lay light blue to greenish eggs, producing around 180–220 eggs per year.

Temperament and Care Favaucanas are incredibly friendly, making them excellent choices for families and small farms. They are cold-hardy and do well in various living conditions, whether free-range or confined.
